Swissness
"For the first time, Swissness was used in connection with the unexplained economic success of Switzerland."
(Kaspar Wenger, CEO Holcim)
What does Swissness mean? If we take advantage of the first web page, which is visited by the usual internet user in order to find the meaning of an unknown word, finds Wikipedia the following definition:
"Swissness is a word originated in the 1990s in Switzerland and in the meantime a fashionable term, which postulates the new national self-confidence of many Swiss and which helps to find the positioning for the country."
Is therefore Swissness just a picture of the ideal world? From our point of view, Swissness stands for much more and does not only correspondent to army knives and chocolate. Swissness is also connected with Swiss values, such as top-quality, reliability and innovation capacity, which is confirmed by many surveys (see for instance the survey of St. Gallen University).
On this account, Swissness means much more for us in our daily work for the customers, whereas we do not refer to the Swiss market, but mainly about Swiss values, which are incorporated in the word. We would like to stand for these values also in our Prague office and therefore our motto is "Swissness – Czech it out!"
Last but not least, Swissness is also connected with sympathy and that is the reason why the cooperation with us should be pleasant for you and should lead towards a positive business relationship.
And to be perfectly honest, even Swiss chocolate and Swiss coffee Nespresso are not missing in our office...
