To have an own personal impression and being informed on the current conditions is decisive for a successful commitment in Central and Eastern Europe. Therefore SwissCzech Technology transfers knowledge by organizing conferences, in-house seminars or study trips in all of Europe and especially in Central and Eastern Europe together with partners and partner institutions. SwissCzech Technology transfer continues to itself engage by means of its partners as an adviser with different meetings where central Eastern Europe or our core competencies a topic is.
- Events such as seminars or conferences are one way to bring in particular the countries of Central Eastern Europe closer to the participants. This includes contacts and detailed knowledge about these markets. Recent events include the organization of the first Czech-Swiss Science and Technology Days in Switzerland in cooperation with CzechInvest, or a planned Summer School on the subject of private equity and M&A in CEE in collaboration with the University of Economics in Prague.
- Journeys to the destination country in groups or individually will enable the participants to spot a picture and also to make their own "gut feeling" for these markets as well as individual sites or companies. Swiss Czech Technology transfer plans, organizes and accompanies such trips for business or interest groups with all the details. Current projects are for example the organization of one week course on the topic of "internationalization" for the SME intensive study of the Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises at the University of St. Gallen which will be held in Prague in the summer of 2009.
- In-house seminars allow the participants to stay informed about current developments and to develop individual solutions to their problems. The content and approach of these seminars are tailored to the needs of the participants. Possible topics are business development in Central and Eastern Europe, negotiation and intercultural skills or private equity in Central and Eastern Europe. SwissCzech Technology Transfer organized and carried out for the Czech government organization CzechInvest an in-house seminar on private equity for more than 30 participants.
SwissCzech Technology Transfer co-operates in this area with proven experts in the area of law, taxes, corporate finance or with entrepreneurs. SwissCzech Technology Transfer is also engaged in further education at university level as for instance in the new institute for technology and innovative management at the University of Economics in Prague.
